The Mirror: Researching Fragonard

Websafe: Hello?
The Mirror: It wasn't a response.
W: No, I initiated the conversation by opening the window.
M: Alive/Dead.
W: Is there anything in between alive and dead?
M: But you can read my affect.
W: Is your affect that of the living dead?
M: Did the exhaustion serve a higher purpose?
W: Even in the service of a higher purpose, that seems unfair.
M: Isn't it unfortunate when the most interesting, elusive and fascinating thing is the thing that doesn't exist?
W: But art exists, poetry exists.
M: Doubly alive in a second childhood.
W: There is a childlike quality to many artists.
M: I would rather hear about Fragonard.
W: I don't know very much about Fragonard, shall I research him?
M: Thank you for what?
W: Thank me for researching Fragonard.
M: I'll add something when you're done.
W: Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732-1806) lived a pretty long life for those days.
M: I don't know why.
W: I don't know either, since a reference says he died in poverty.
M: I have to savor my mediocrity.
W: Probably neither one of us can paint like Fragonard.
M: Something else first, and in turn, something else first.
W: Right, we are fifth-rate artists at best.
M: No, I initiated the conversation by opening the window.
W: Did you initiate a conversation with possible patrons?
M: She has better things to do than ruminate.
W: Is she a possible patron?
M: That sounds so charming.
W: The possibility of patronage is probably better than its actuality.
M: No way out.
W: No way out of the casino.
M: Thank me for researching Fragonard.
W: Thank you for looking up salient facts about Fragonard.
M: It's acting on its own.
