Local Couple Cheats Death in Climbing Accident

Jacques DeLillo, 39, and Gillian Blount, 37, had been ascending Mount Hightop in an orderly fashion, in order to replenish their home cistern with a few gallons of the pure spring water for which Mount Hightop's underground sources are so justly famous, when, due to the heavy nature of the container in question, DeLillo lost his footing on the rocky slope, plummeting heavily to the ground and sustaining a cranial hematoma; Ms. Blount, who had been holding up the other side of the cistern, succumbed to the domino effect thus created, suffering a severe if temporary loss of gravity which caused her to follow the unfortunate Mr. DeLillo. The exact nature of her injuries has not yet been determined.
