Wednesday, December 28, 2005Objects, 12-27-05A fellow artist gave me a set of Prismacolors and some 11" by 14" Bristol board for Christmas, so I immediately made and scanned this piece. Those who have seen it in person have so far favored the decorative ball at upper left. The little booklet at lower left might contain arcane secrets, or simply a few appointments for the New Year. When I asked someone who knows about metalwork how easy these objects might be to produce, he pointed to the curved green strip to the right of the ball and said that would be easy to make. Then he said you could weld ball bearings onto the larger ball to make that object. Labels: image |
